Aquarium Pet~Giant Danio~ Easycare Fish

The giant danio (Devario aequipinnatus) is found in fast-flowing rivers and hill streams in Nepal, northern Thailand, Bangladesh, India, and Myanmar.

Giant danios are beautiful, with deep-blue bodies and iridescent gold spots and stripes that shimmer as the fish dart around the tank.

The giant danio’s fins are gold, rounded, and semi-transparent, and the tail is forked.

CARE GUIDELINES:

• Diet:  Micropredator. Will readily accept most dry foods but should be fed a varied diet including frozen and/or live meaty foods of appropriate size.
• Social behavior:  Peaceful, schooling/shoaling.
• Origin:  Tank-Bred, but indigenous to India, Nepal, and Indochina
• Average adult size:  7 - 8 cm
• Average purchase size:  5.1 - 6.4 cm
